Ergonomics
Just as computers have changed the way we work, it is becoming increasingly necessary for us to change the way we operate them. Safe computer use, including body posture, typing and mousing methods, and workstation adjustments will help prevent musculoskeletal problems. This Web page provides an overview of the basic guidelines needed to ensure a safe computer workstation by combining proper design and appropriate work habits. (And don’t just restrict these guidelines to your work—keep them in mind for home as well.)
EH&S has developed this page to assist University personnel in the design and evaluation of their particular workstations.
